Born in San Diego and raised in Rome, Alithia Spuri-Zampetti moved to London to study fashion. While attending the Womenswear course at Central Saint Martins College, she also worked as an intern with designers Gareth Pugh, Peter Jensen, Hussein Chalayan and Alexander McQueen. Before completing her degree, Alithia Spuri-Zampetti took a year out to gain more experience in different international design houses including Bruno Pieters, Viktor & Rolf, Marc Jacobs and finally Valentino, where she is employed.

Her first collection inspired by the Japanese Furisode features tailored denim dresses and overgrown foam collars, and got her the L'Oreal Young Talent Award 2008, the Maria Luisa Award at ITS#7 (International Talent Support) in Trieste and was exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. International press featuring Alithia's work include: Dazed & Confused, Wallpaper, Vogue Italia,, Elle, The Indipendent, Le Monde, Harper's Bazaar and Vanity Fair.
